We are going to Bali next week! My sister has just booked our flights, but we haven’t confirmed the hotel reservation yet. Is it the rainy season in Bali? If it is, we must pack properly. We checked the weather—it’s sunny now, but the rainy season is coming soon. I didn’t pack my suitcase yet. Have you learned any basic Indonesian phrases? My sister wasn’t good at languages, but she learned some Balinese phrases. They will help us talk to local people. If we don’t learn, we won’t make friends. Will you cancel your trip if the weather isn’t good? We must check our tickets before leaving. It’s going to be a great vacation!

A friendly local woman smiled at me as I walked into the small restaurant. "Do you understand Indonesian?" she asked politely. I wasn't sure, but I smiled back. "I'm going to order food," I said. "This is my first time in Bali." She nodded and pointed to a dish. "That one is very spicy," she warned. "Have you ever eaten the spiciest food?" I've tried spicy food before, but not like this! The locals all smiled as I took my first bite. My face turned red, and everyone laughed. "You must drink water!" they said. I don't think I'll order that one again!
